Job summary

Omitron, Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to manage SPARTAN hardware, software, licenses, and lifecycle across a distributed enterprise.

The role collaborates with program management, engineering, cybersecurity, procurement, finance, vendors, and site personnel to ensure assets are accounted for, properly licensed, and available to meet mission requirements. U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required; must obtain and maintain program access.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field OR 5+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience managing IT hardware, software, property, inventory, or configuration records in an enterprise.
• Experience with hardware lifecycle activities: receiving, tagging, deployment, transfers, warranty/RMA, refresh, disposition.
• Experience with enterprise software licensing, renewals, entitlements, and software lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, firewalls, storage, OS, and enterprise software.
• Experience developing/improving asset-management processes, workflows, tracking methods, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accountability of SPARTAN hardware and software assets through lifecycle.
• Maintain hardware inventory records for servers, routers, switches, firewalls, storage, workstations, and more.
• Maintain software and licensing records, including licenses, entitlements, renewals, and deployment locations.
• Design and maintain an asset-management tracking solution for centralized visibility of assets and lifecycle status.
• Develop and improve asset-management processes, workflows, data standards, and reporting mechanisms.
• Coordinate equipment receiving, tagging, storage, deployment, RMAs, repairs, replacements, and dispositions across sites.
• Support Government property accountability (GFP, GFE, contractor property) as applicable.
• Coordinate with engineering and CM to align physical assets with BOMs and configurations.
• Monitor lifecycle status and identify end-of-sale, EOL, EOS, renewal, and refresh needs.
• Support procurement by coordinating hardware/software requirements, quotes, delivery, and licenses.
• Perform periodic inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across records.
• Develop reports and metrics for program reviews, audits, budgeting, and sustainment planning.
