IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst [Contract-to-Hire]
Location: Palo Alto, CA - San Jose, CA - Bastrop, TX - NYC (Onsite)
Base Salary Range: $35 - $75/Hr Contract-to-Hire (6 Months)
What You’ll Do:
Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware assets.
Track the lifecycle of assets from procurement to decommissioning, ensuring proper documentation and updates in the asset management system.
Support the procurement process by reviewing asset requirements, assisting with purchase orders, and ensuring proper acquisition of assets.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of IT assets to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Generate regular reports on asset status, usage, lifecycle, and disposal for management review.
Ensure that all IT assets are properly secured and decommissioned for data protection and disposal.
Liaise with various departments (IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal) to ensure seamless asset management and resolve asset-related issues.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes for asset and inventory management, implementing best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
Who You Are:
You are a detail-oriented IT Asset Management Analyst with:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, or a related field.
Familiarity with asset management software such as ServiceNow and Jira.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to use and identify formulas in Google Sheets and/or Excel.
Understanding of IT lifecycle management and industry best practices.
Familiarity with compliance, IT security protocols, and data protection regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL, IAITAM certification, or other relevant certifications in asset management.
Experience with cloud-based asset management tools (e.g., Google Apps).
Understanding of industry standards for asset management and auditing (e.g., ISO 19770).
Experience working in a mid to large, enterprise-level organization.
