Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with working knowledge of the Business Process Outsourcing industry for a contract-to-hire opportunity to join our Legal team. This role will be responsible for contract lifecycle management, handling agreements of varying complexity, overseeing contract operations, and providing legal administrative support on various initiatives and projects. While this position begins as a contract role, there is potential for full-time, permanent employment based on performance and business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Manage all stages of the contract process, including database management and reporting.
  2. Ensure contracts move through review and approval processes in a timely manner.
  3. Review standard contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and Employment Contracts; maintain contract templates; assist with development, maintenance, and proofreading of templates, training materials, and knowledge resources.
  4. Assist with document version control, including creating comparison files for reviews.
  5. Leverage technology to automate manual legal work, streamline document management, and simplify data collection.
  6. Engage with business partners to answer contract process questions and provide insights and recommendations.
  7. Ensure stakeholder information is incorporated into contracts and collaborate on necessary adjustments.
  8. Provide problem-solving and troubleshooting support, escalating issues as needed.
  9. Support the development and implementation of policies, practices, and guidance for contract operations.
  10. Conduct legal research and assist with regulatory and compliance initiatives.
  11. Prioritize initiatives, breaking down large projects into manageable tasks.
  12. Participate in special assignments and provide ad hoc support as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in contracts management, paralegal work, or similar roles within an in-house legal department or law firm, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with excellent critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, solution-oriented mindset, and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of the BPO industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), SharePoint, and related tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a legal or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Reside in one of the following states: AR, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MS, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WY.
  • Must have a dedicated home office environment with reliable internet, ensuring security and confidentiality for handling sensitive information.
  • Eligible and authorized to work in the US.
