Description

This individual will serve to reduce overall IT costs and mitigate business and financial risk related to Paycom’s ownership and use of IT Assets. They will strive to improve IT asset management processes, optimize IT’s asset portfolio, and increase the agility of IT operations. They will collaborate closely with various Paycom departments on planning, budgeting, and other strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities
  • Follow Paycom IT procurement processes to engage vendors, negotiate contracts, make purchases, and receive software and/or hardware goods and professional services.
  • Collaborate closely with Paycom legal and accounting departments to review contracts and execute spend against budget(s) on any IT purchases.
  • Regularly utilize CMDB to track asset lifecycles and inventory of both hardware and software assets.
  • Report and update business owners and stakeholders on procurement requests and delivery time frames.
  • Monitor software license usage and identify under/over utilization areas to remediate issues.
  • Onboard new Paycom vendors.
  • Ensure license and maintenance renewals are completed within deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset information in the ITAM system and create internal tools for stakeholders.
  • Identify cost avoidance opportunities and follow through to realize positive returns.
  • Ensure compliance with use rights and legal terms.
  • Create and update IT asset information and lead license reconciliation projects.
  • Produce reports for audits and internal use.
Documentation and reporting responsibilities
  • Create internal process documentation and diagrams.
  • Generate purchase orders, vendor records, and reports such as ELP, asset inventory, and cost forecasting.
Miscellaneous
  • Attend meetings, serve on committees, and meet with stakeholders as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related.
Experience
  • 2+ years total IT experience.
  • 1+ years relevant IT experience.
  • 1+ years inventory management, procurement, or related analyst experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • IAITAM certifications (CAMP, CSAM, CHAMP, CITAM).
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMI certifications.
Skills/Abilities
  • Basic understanding of legal, accounting, and ITAM principles.
  • Vendor negotiation skills.
  • Entry-level IT systems administrator skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Flexibility to work hours including weekends and evenings.
