Job summary

Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) seeks a Helpdesk/Asset Management Specialist for a client position in Detroit, MI. The role coordinates asset lifecycle from receipt to disposal and maintains a well-organized warehouse with emphasis on QA and service levels.

Responsibilities include frontline support for device purchases, deployment coordination to schools, inventory accuracy, and reporting. Strong ITSM/ITAM familiarity and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of desktop/computer support experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
• Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support each phase of the asset lifecycle for technology devices within the district, from acquisition and deployment to maintenance and disposal.
• Act as the first line of contact for technology purchases by district stakeholders.
• Coordinate deployment of devices to district locations; schedule deliveries to schools.
• Conduct onboarding/offboarding workshops for device deployment.
• Maintain warehouse and inventory processes; ensure accuracy and accessibility of assets.
• Provide timely, reliable service and address inquiries with professionalism.
• Follow procedures to maintain consistency and integrity in deployment and management.
• Maintain up-to-date records of devices and orders, and report inventory metrics.
• Troubleshoot order, warranty, or delivery issues with vendors and colleagues.
• Coordinate physical inventories and technology audits; provide inventory reports.
• Develop internal knowledge resources for the hub.
• Ensure safe, organized storage and daily asset handling.
