Job summary

The Timken Company is seeking a Level II Developer to design, develop, and support business applications enabling manufacturing and engineering operations. You will deliver small to medium complexity software solutions while ensuring reliability, security, and performance, collaborating with stakeholders and site teams.

You will own development work end-to-end, contribute to DevOps and release management, mentor Level I developers, and help raise coding standards across sites.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with a degree as described.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy application features and bug fixes using C#/.NET technologies, SQL Server, and IIS-hosted applications.
  • Own assigned backlog items through the full development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, effort estimation, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Document technical decisions and system impacts to support long-term maintainability.
  • Coordinate deployment activities while adhering to change management and release control processes.
