Louisiana State Employees Retirement System (LASERS) is seeking an IT Applications Developer 1–3 to support and develop enterprise systems and applications for state officers, employees, and beneficiaries.

The Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS) provides a defined benefit pension plan for state officers, employees, and their beneficiaries. Our membership totals approximately 100,000 members.
This position will be working as an IT Applications Developer 1, 2, or 3 to support and develop existing and new enterprise systems and applications.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Appointment Type: Probational.
LASERS requires all new hires to serve a minimum of eighteen (18) months not to exceed twenty-four (24) months in probational status including permanent state employees.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as an IT Applications Developer 1, 2, or 3.
Work Schedule: 8 hours Monday - Friday, choosing a schedule with a start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
