Job summary

Selective Insurance invites college students to join its 2027 summer internship program in Charlotte, NC. This 11-week, full-time internship blends IT with insurance and exposes you to on-the-job assignments, team projects, leadership exposure.

You will work in the Information Technology department on the Application Delivery team, gain hands-on experience, and complete an Action Learning Project. The position is hybrid; applicants must be rising juniors or seniors pursuing Computer Science or

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student majoring in Computer Science or a related field.
• Be someone who takes ownership over work, has the ability to self-motivate and executes on delegated tasks.
• Demonstrates an interest in learning about the insurance industry and Information Technology Software Engineering.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution’s requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support application solutions, providing production support and managing application operations.
• Ensure adherence to IT standards and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly to support business processes and resolve issues.
• Work cross-functionally with peers and leaders to complete an Action Learning Project.
