State of Washington’s Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full-time IT Project Manager – Journey in Tumwater. The role focuses on managing IT projects from initiation through closeout, applying waterfall, agile and hybrid methods, and crafting charters, workplans, risk registers and communications plans.

Minimum eight years of IT project management experience and familiarity with change management practices (Prosci) are required; a related degree may substitute for some

Qualifications

• Eight years of IT project management experience including initiation through closeout.
• Experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies and applying them appropriately.
• Experience creating charters, workplans, schedules, risk registers, and communications plans.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, plans, and monitors scope, schedule and budget for IT projects.
• Documents statements of work and procurement requirements; supports delivery of objectives.
• Prepares project status reports and communications; conducts lessons learned and closeout reports.
• Leads requirements gatherings and writes technical requirements from business needs.
