Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks a skilled IT Application Developer to join the Applications Modernization Team. You will develop, support, and modernize TRAINS 4 data layer interfaces and the Angular-based Work Order Crosswalk front-end, delivering secure, scalable solutions.

You will design and implement web apps, APIs, and interfaces, applying cloud-first and on-premise strategies, while collaborating with analysts and SMEs to translate business needs into robust

Formación

• Full Stack Application Developer: design, develop, enhance, and maintain full stack apps, interfaces, APIs with Angular frontend and C#/ASP.NET backend.
• C# & .NET Frameworks: modernize software using current C#/.NET versions, Web API, ASP.NET Webforms, MVC.
• Database Design & Development: MS SQL Server, stored procedures, queries, data transformations, schemas, views.
• Implementation & Testing of Technical Solutions: interpret specs, test apps/APIs, troubleshoot, estimate effort.
• Interpersonal Communication: work with customers to understand needs, communicate solutions.
• Customer Service: identify needs, resolve issues via coding/testing, verify results.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications, interfaces, and APIs for multiple business units.
• Analyze and optimize code and systems for performance and resource utilization.
• Perform applications, interface, and API diagnostics using logging, tracing, and other techniques.
• Translate business requirements into secure, sustainable technology solutions with SMEs.
• Research and implement industry and statewide security standards; learn new technologies.
• Ensure proper use of encryption for transmission and storage of sensitive data.
• Follow agency security best practices and static analysis scanning processes.
• Conduct application reviews and assessments for modernization opportunities.
• Implement performance tuning in alignment with customer needs.
