Job summary

The McShane Company is seeking an IT Application Analyst I to support and maintain business applications across its commercial, industrial, and multi-family construction divisions. You will manage frontline support, resolve common issues, and help users maximize software capabilities.

The role emphasizes customer service, problem solving, and collaboration with vendors and peers. The team values documentation, testing, and process adherence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in application or software support or strong interest in starting an application support career.
• Basic understanding of business applications and troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and basic system configuration.
• Strong customer service orientation with good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to keep information confidential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned service desk tickets for application issues within established service levels.
• Serve as escalation point from Tier 1 support, gathering information and resolving common requests.
• Troubleshoot routine application issues such as access requests and usage guidance, escalating as needed.
• Help users navigate and get the most out of business applications in place.
• Assist with testing new or updated features and document results.
• Help support onboarding tasks like setting up user access and basic configuration.
• Maintain clear documentation and knowledge base content for common issues.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and peers.
