IT and Web Support Specialist (part-time)

The IT and Web Support Specialist is the first line point of contact for IT related questions at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other duties. Work will also include developing and maintaining web applications, mainly at the front-end, but could require back-end experience. Excellent problem-solving abilities and good interpersonal skills are essential as this role interacts with clients from various departments and executive levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide IT/helpdesk support and training to end users.
Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, as well as installing and configuring hardware and software components.
Tracking, repairing, and replacing computer hardware.
Advising clients on the proper use of hardware, software, and online services.
Creating IT training materials and SOP documentation for staff to reference.
Developing and maintaining web applications using current frameworks and technologies.
Collaborating with designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
Ongoing assistance with the upkeep of 9+ websites utilizing Dreamweaver and Visual Studio Code to deploy changes.
Understanding and administration of DNS, SSL, and other website management support platforms and protocols.
Providing analysis and reports to clients utilizing Google Analytics as requested.
Oversee IT inventory and assist in the configuration, deployment, and repair of company devices utilizing Windows Server AD, Azure AD, and Intune.
Assist in the implementation of disaster recovery systems, including data backups and retiring/recycling legacy systems/hardware.
Monitor access points, VLAN configurations, and wired and wireless network performance.
Establishing professional relationships with all clients and colleagues.
Optimizing applications for maximum performance and scalability.
Continuously learning and staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in web development and IT and clearly presenting your findings and recommendations as needed.

Education and Experience:

Associates or BS/BA degree OR equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in IT & web support and systems maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with backend development and version control, such as Git.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, backend programming a plus.
Understanding of cybersecurity standards and W3C accessibility (WCAG 2).
Proficient with Microsoft technologies: Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Office apps, OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange Server, Power Platform, Azure Active Directory (on-prem & cloud), AWS cloud development a plus.
Experience managing Zoom and Teams, as well as domain/DNS configurations.
Familiar with Apple macOS and Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Dreamweaver).
Skilled in Visual Studio Code and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Strong written and verbal communication with a proactive, collaborative mindset with colleagues and members of the organization at all levels.
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with keen attention to detail.
Practical knowledge of project management and collaboration tools.
Positive attitude, integrity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
Occasional weekend and evening work.

Salary and Benefits:

The starting salary for this position depends on the depth and breadth of experience. Part-time employees are eligible for a benefits package including the following:
