Hiring: IAM Lead Engineer

Local Candidates Only (DC, Maryland, Virginia)

Are you a hands-on IAM expert who thrives on solving complex security challenges and leading from the front?

We’re looking for a dynamic IAM Lead Engineer to join our security team and drive identity innovation across the enterprise.

This is a hybrid role — you’ll collaborate in our Rockville, MD office 2–3 days a week with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

What You’ll Do

• Lead IAM initiatives from design to delivery in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
• Architect and implement SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions — from custom connectors to automation workflows.
• Leverage your Java skills to solve integration challenges and enhance IAM functionality.
• Deploy and optimize IAM solutions in AWS and other cloud environments.
• Partner with stakeholders, mentor engineers, and drive best practices across security and development teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Deep, hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ experience (beyond admin-level).
• Strong Java development background — able to read, debug, and build solutions.
• Experience with AWS IAM, automation, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
• A leadership mindset — proactive, communicative, and solutions-focused.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity/IT, with at least 3 years in IAM solution engineering.
