Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an IT and Cyber Security Specialist for our Information Technology team.
This position reports to the Information Technology Manager. This role is onsite and is based in the Somerville, MA office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative Security/IT principles and ideas, to establish and implement Security/IT industry known best practices to implement “best-in-class” actions to enable the transformation of the organization.
- Become a subject matter expert for the IT team and broader Triumvirate organization on Cyber Security.
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents using security tools, security partners, and technologies.
- Respond to critical security incidents, and develop detailed reports outlining the incident and recommended corrective and preventative actions.
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure security measures are implemented, maintained and evolved to meet the needs of Triumvirate Environmental.
- Tune and enhance Triumvirate’s security stack, implementing new capabilities that enhance our business team’s effectiveness while protecting our company’s security.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to implement security best practices in our technology stack including Azure, FortiGate, VMware and various SAAS platforms.
- Perform security reviews of critical vendors.
- Serve as a senior member of our internal IT team, willing to coach and train junior members.
- Maintain and enhance our security awareness training program.
- Oversee testing of our cyber security defenses including pen testing, purple teaming, attack surface monitoring and vulnerability management.
- Help support the development and implementation of Triumvirate’s security goals.
- Develop and maintain a cyber security roadmap for Triumvirate.
- Develop internal security processes and policies.
- Support response to customer questionnaires regarding cyber security for Triumvirate Environmental.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of documentation for compliance with security standards and regulations (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
- 3 or more years of work experience as a System Administrator, Network Engineer, or Infrastructure Specialist.
- Familiarity with key cyber security concepts including Least Privilege, Identity Management, Zero Trust Networks, and Zero Perimeter.
- Natural collaborator and effective at accomplishing goals working through others as well as via your own efforts.
- Experience working with the Microsoft Cloud and O365 Toolsets including Entra.
- Experienced working with Microsoft Windows based hardware.
