Adient US LLC is seeking an IT Analyst for our Normal, Illinois manufacturing plant. The role supports plant operations, focusing on availability, performance and efficiency of IT systems, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
The position is on 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am) with on-site responsibilities. Responsibilities include incident management, local IT infrastructure oversight, and collaboration with plant management on improvement initiatives.
Team member of the Information Technology (IT) department at a Manufacturing Plant in the Automotive industry. Provide services and support to Plant Operations maximizing availability, performance and efficiency. Focus on cost effective solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.
Direct report to the IT Manager.
IT Management
Consult with plant management on continuous improvement ideas and fulfill requests.
Key team member of projects to deliver new initiatives and/or service improvements.
Assist with problem management resolution and permanent corrective actions.
Interface with internal and external Adient Customers.
Support IT tasks related to launches and communicating updates at readiness reviews.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Responsible for the daily operations of computer systems including but not limited to the following:
Perform Level 1, incident management, support for hardware, communications, networking, software and shop-floor systems ran at the manufacturing facility. Escalate to next level support teams if applicable.
Monitor, event management and administration of local IT Infrastructure.
Adhering to the processes and standards of the company.
Provide access to IT services while complying with Security and Vulnerability standards.
Ensure system backups are current and can be restored.
Schedule and coordinate hardware and infrastructure installation with Corporate and 3rd party suppliers.
Contribute to managing Key and Operational Metrics.
Maintain documentation of IT Services, Equipment and Procedures.
Minimum Required:
IT Analyst = 2+ years IT related experience.
C Communication, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Support multiple work streams.
Adesire to have broad responsibilities and work in fast paced environment.
Windows administrative knowledge (Servers and PCs)
Experience with Networking Infrastructure and Architecture
Additional Desired:
Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive industry.
Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience.
Basic database knowledge an and report writing skills.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in IT.
Or Associates/Technical Degree in IT related field of study with 2+ years of experience or additional equivalent experience.
Desired:
Technical Certifications.
Continuous Improvement training.
7x24 on-call availability for critical plant operation system support
Willingness to work overtime and weekends
This role partners closely with production and engineering teams to ensure systems are configured to support accurate MODAPTS (Modular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standards) data collection, analysis, and reporting for operational efficiency.
Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000
