Job summary

Esper is hiring a hands-on IT Administrator to join our IT team in a full-time capacity. You will be the primary on-site IT operations contact, handling helpdesk, hardware provisioning, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Product to meet technical needs.

You will support laptops, IoT devices, and SaaS tools, while enforcing security standards and MDM/SSO policies. This role thrives in a fast-paced tech environment and offers a hybrid schedule in Bellevue, WA.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years in IT Helpdesk/TechOps or IT Admin roles.
• Experience deploying hardware and providing AV/on-site support.
• Familiarity with OSI model and networking basics.
• Comfort with macOS, Windows 11 Pro, iOS and Android.
• Exposure to device management platforms (Jamf Pro, Intune) and IdP (Okta).
• Basic Python or shell scripting or willingness to learn.
• Able to follow documented processes and maintain accuracy.
• Strong attention to inventory and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Handle internal helpdesk tickets for laptops, SaaS tools, and IoT devices.
• Be the sole on-site contact for IT operations and hardware provisioning.
• Set up, replace, and troubleshoot employee hardware.
• Provision and configure new computers and onboard new staff.
• Maintain asset inventory and update the IT wiki.
• Keep Confluence up-to-date and organized.
• Manage IT inventory and supplies as needed.
• Enforce MDM policies and SSO (Jamf/Intune, Okta) and security standards.
• Onboard partner hardware for Engineering/Product and ensure proper network segmentation.
• Assist with API workflows, scripting, and automation for cross‑functional initiatives.

This role is a hybrid role. Employees will be in the office at our Bellevue, WA location 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.

About The Role

We're looking for a dedicated, hands-on IT Administrator to join our IT team in a full time capacity. In this role, you will be the primary on-site point of contact for IT operations, helpdesk support, and hardware provisioning. You will also be expected to collaborate cross-functionally with our Engineering and Product teams to support their unique technical requirements, ensuring seamless operations across the organization. What You’ll Be Doing

• Field internal helpdesk tickets covering laptops (macOS, Windows 11, Ubuntu), SaaS tools, and IoT devices.
• Act as the sole on-site helpdesk resolving all end-user IT issues requiring physical presence or immediate response (hardware failures, connectivity issues, and walk-up requests).
• Provide physical setup, replacement, and troubleshooting of all hardware for employees (laptops, monitors, peripherals, phones, printers, AV/conference room equipment).
• Provision and configure new computers following documented workflows, and sit with new employees to complete onboarding and tool orientation.
• Maintain and update asset inventory records.
• Keep the IT internal wiki (Confluence) accurate and up to date.
• Organize and maintain IT inventory and supplies as needed.
• Assist with enforcing MDM policies (Jamf/Intune), SSO via Okta, endpoint security standards, and auditing user access across cloud platforms.
• Unbox and onboard partner hardware utilized by Engineering and Product, ensuring proper network segmentation and access.
• Assist with API workflows, scripting, and automation tooling to support cross-departmental technical initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• 2-4+ years of experience in an IT Helpdesk, IT Administration, or TechOps role.
• Strong experience with physical hardware deployment, AV support, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Comfortable troubleshooting using the OSI model and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with various mobile and desktop operating systems (macOS, Windows 11 Pro, iOS, Android).
• Exposure to device management platforms (e.g., Jamf Pro, Intune) and identity providers (e.g., Okta).
• Basic Python or shell scripting experience (or eagerness to learn).
• Able to follow documented processes and ask good questions.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with inventory and documentation.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with the Android framework.
• Experience with ticketing or ITSM tools.
• Interest in IT security, automation, and cross-functional technical operations.

Salary Band

$75K - $95K OTE
