Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP IS-U Billing functional experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring SAP IS-U Billing.
• Experience leading complex implementations and AMS engagements.
• Strong experience with bill print form configuration, rate configuration, and billing exception analysis.
• Understanding of utility meter-to-cash business processes.
• Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting billing issues.
• Strong requirements gathering and functional documentation skills.

Responsabilités

Overview of Role/Job Purpose:

The SAP IS-U Billing Functional Consultant III serves as a senior functional expert responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex SAP IS-U Billing solutions for utility clients. This role leads requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, production support, and client engagement activities while mentoring junior consultants and driving delivery excellence across multiple client engagements. The consultant serves as a trusted advisor to clients, leads complex problem resolution efforts, and contributes to both enhancement initiatives and managed services support activities to ensure reliable and efficient operation of critical billing processes.

Expertise in all aspects of Billing:

• Billing: Rates & operand configuration
• Billing schemas
• Bill corrections
• Budget billing
• Invoicing
• Bill print forms

Essential Duties:

• Collaborate with business users to gather, document, and analyze requirements for SAP enhancements and projects.
• Configure and support SAP Billing module to meet evolving business needs.
• Partcipate in all aspects of SAP enhancement delivery, including requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Develop functional specifications for technical teams and coordinate with developers on solution delivery.
• Maintain system documentation, process flows, and user guides.
• Support data integrity, reporting, and compliance initiatives across SAP systems.
• Stay current with SAP updates, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents affecting SAP IS-U Billing processes.
• Support service requests, defect resolution, minor system enhancements and technical upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis for billing issues.
• Execute and support testing activities for releases, upgrades, and production deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting FI-CA, Device Management, and Customer Service processes.
• Ensure adherence to service-level agreements and operational support procedures.
• Participate in on-call support rotations as required.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex billing-related issues.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders through regular operational reviews and proactive recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP IS-U Billing functional experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring SAP IS-U Billing.

• Demonstrated experience leading complex implementations, enhancements, and AMS engagements.

• Strong experience with bill print form cofiguration, rate configuration, and billing exception analysis.
• Understanding of utility meter-to-cash business processes.
• Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting billing-related issues.
• Strong requirements gathering and functional documentation skills.
• Ability to assess impacts across Billing, FICA, Customer Service, and related SAP IS-U processes.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.

• Experience mentoring consultants and leading client-facing workshops

• SAP FI-CA knowledge.
• SAP Device Management exposure.
• SAP S/4 Utilities experience.
• Experience working in a managed services or AMS organization.
• Jira ticket-management platform experience.
