Job summary

ComTec Information Systems is seeking an experienced SAP ISU Functional SME to support and optimize utilities operations. The role covers production support, incident and change management, and deep functional expertise in billing, metering, and customer service.

You will lead SAP IS-U modules for electric utility implementations, gather requirements across M2C, Device Management, Billing, FICA, and Customer Service, and provide configuration, testing, and validation support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP ISU functional experience (billing, metering, device management, customer service).
• Strong incident/change management and escalation handling expertise.
• Hands-on experience with incident and change management processes (ITIL or similar).

Responsibilities

• Act as the functional lead and SME for SAP IS-U modules in electric utility implementations and operations.
• Gather and analyze requirements across Meter-to-Cash, Device Management, Billing, FICA, and Customer Service.
• Provide functional support for SAP ISU projects, including configuration, testing, and business requirement validations.
• Manage critical incidents (Sev1 / Sev2) ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
• Review and reduce incident backlog; coordinate with vendors for timely resolution.
• Provide on-call support (24x7 rotation) and oversee SAP approvals.
• Monitor billing batches, alerts, and ad-hoc requests ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support SAP ISU projects and handle customer escalations effectively.

• Provide functional support for SAP ISU projects, including configuration, testing, and business requirement validations.
• Manage critical incidents (Sev1 / Sev2) ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
• Review and reduce incident backlog; work with vendors for timely resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of SAP ISU functional experience (billing, metering, device management, customer service).
• Strong incident/change management and escalation handling expertise.
• Solid background in SAP ISU Production Management, including incident handling, month-end, and outage management.
• Hands-on experience in incident and change management processes (ITIL or similar frameworks).
• Experience in automation of ISU operations or proactive monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Utilities migration or implementation projects.Familiarity with integration between SAP ISU and enterprise systems (CRM, FICA, etc.).
• Strong Knowledge on compliance and regulatory frameworks
• Good to have SAP Certification in IS-U or related modules.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
