Job summary

Colonial Group seeks an SAP Utilities Customer Service Technical Consultant II to design, develop, and maintain SAP IS-U Customer Service solutions. You will support integrations, workflows, Fiori apps, and client business processes.

The role requires strong ABAP development, experience with SAP CRM integrations, APIs, and middleware, plus collaboration with architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6-8 years of SAP technical consulting experience.
• 6+ years of experience supporting SAP IS-U Customer Service solutions.
• Strong ABAP development experience including reports, enhancements, interfaces, and workflows.
• Experience with SAP CRM integrations and customer service business processes.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, web services, IDocs, RFCs, and middleware technologies.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Utilities and modern SAP architecture.
• Experience supporting testing, deployments, and production environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Preferred: SAP IS-U certification.

Position Summary

We are seeking an SAP Utilities Customer Service Technical Consultant II to join our growing SAP Utilities practice. In this role, you will support utility clients by designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining SAP IS-U Customer Service solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

The ideal candidate possesses strong SAP IS-U Customer Service technical expertise, hands-on ABAP development experience, and a proven ability to support integrations, workflows, Fiori applications, and customer service business processes. This role partners with functional consultants, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Expertise

• Design, develop, and support technical solutions within SAP IS-U Customer Service.

• Create and maintain ABAP reports, enhancements, interfaces, workflows, forms, and custom developments.

• Develop and support integrations between SAP IS-U, SAP CRM, SAP S/4HANA Utilities, and third-party applications.

• Build and maintain APIs, web services, IDocs, RFCs, and middleware-based integrations.

• Support SAP Fiori applications and user experience enhancements.

• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

• Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform root cause analysis.

• Support data migration and conversion efforts for implementations and transformation projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 6-8 years of SAP technical consulting experience.

• 6+ years of experience supporting SAP IS-U Customer Service solutions.

• Strong ABAP development experience, including reports, enhancements, interfaces, and workflows.

• Experience with SAP CRM integrations and customer service business processes.

• Hands-on experience with APIs, web services, IDocs, RFCs, and middleware technologies.

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Utilities and modern SAP architecture.

• Experience supporting testing, deployments, and production environments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within electric, gas, water, or multi-service utility organizations.

• SAP Utilities (IS-U) implementation or Application Management Services (AMS) experience.

• Experience with SAP Fiori and user interface technologies.

• Knowledge of SAP Business Workflow and process automation.

• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Integration Suite.

• Familiarity with utility customer service processes, including customer account management, move-in/move-out activities, service requests, and customer interactions.

• SAP certification in IS-U, ABAP, S/4HANA, or related SAP technologies.
