Job summary

Amazon is seeking a high-judgment Communications Manager to join our Trust & Reputation team, focusing on risk and issues management for consumer technology brands including Alexa, Ring, Kindle, Fire TV, and Amazon Leo.

You will define the issues management approach, develop strategies and playbooks, counsel on business decisions, manage reactive news cycles, and execute communications strategies that protect customer trust across a global matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience.
• Experience presenting complex technical information to executives and non-technical leaders.
• Proven track record in issues management and/or public affairs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage complex, fast-moving reputation issues with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Develop clear viewpoints on issues, craft concise narratives, and provide counsel to business leadership on short- and long-term challenges.
• Engage with reporters to educate them about our business and advocate for Amazon's position.
• Partner with public policy, legal, and communications colleagues on emerging issues.
• Oversee end-to-end development and execution of business-critical communications programs.
• Develop and refine processes to streamline ways of working across a matrixed global organization.
