Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to secure NIST SP 800-171/CMMC Level 2 environments, support ATO/RMF activities, and maintain documentation across systems.

You will work with Cybersecurity, IT, engineering, and the SOC to evidence compliance for customers and audits. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in ISSO/security roles, TS/SCI, US citizenship, and hands-on SSP/POA&M experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship required.
• 3+ years in ISSO/security roles.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2.
• Experience maintaining SSPs and security evidence for reviews.
• Ability to validate evidence from identity, cloud, endpoint, network, and logging platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as security point of contact for operations and keep teams informed on cyber posture.
• Assess requirements, risk findings, and due dates for contracts with Cybersecurity team.
• Maintain SSP, system inventory, policies, and supporting evidence for CUI environment.
• Track NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 implementations at artifact level.
• Support ATO and RMF activities with security documentation and POA&Ms.
• Validate evidence from CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Tenable, and Jira.
• Lead vulnerability and configuration remediation with system owners.
• Lead security reviews for privileged accounts, terminated users, and security requests.
