Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), Southwest Division in Albuquerque, NM, seeks an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support RMF and NISPOM obligations for classified information systems.

The ISSO will implement and validate security controls, maintain SSPs and POA&Ms, manage change control, and ensure continuous authorization through the ATO process. Candidates should have TS clearance eligibility, strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, 32 CFR Part 117, STIGs, eMASS,

Qualifications

• Experience applying RMF to classified information systems.
• Knowledge of NISPOM requirements and CFRs.
• Ability to produce security documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms).
• Active TS clearance or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and validate security controls on classified systems.
• Maintain SSPs and security documentation throughout RMF lifecycle.
• Manage change control and configuration management for IS assets.
• Prepare and submit authorization packages through PAC workflow.
• Monitor and report security incidents and vulnerabilities.
