Job summary

JRC is seeking a mid-level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to work with the Electronic Security team and a US Navy customer to develop and manage the Authority to Operate for the Electronic Security System upgrade and integration.

You will spearhead ATO development, ensure RMF compliance with customer requirements, and coordinate with stakeholders to secure authorization for ongoing system updates. This role resides in JRC's Missiles and Space team with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing RMF packages.
• Experience building cybersecurity programs and RMF artifacts.
• Strong understanding of security controls and authorization processes.
• Ability to translate complex security concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with DoD RMF and approval authority processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and management of the Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement RMF across systems.
• Track ATO artifacts through lifecycle and update as systems change.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage cybersecurity risk posture.
• Liaise with external stakeholders and regulators.
