Job summary

Odyssey at Hill AFB, UT seeks a Journeyman ISSO to protect and evaluate Air Force information systems under RMF guidance. You will collaborate with the ISSM to ensure DoD cybersecurity requirements are met and to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical networks and data.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• IAT Level II (Security+, GSEC, CCNA‑Security, CISSP, or equivalent) or higher certification.
• Must maintain AFMAN 17‑1303 cybersecurity certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all systems meet DoD and Air Force cybersecurity requirements as directed by the ISSM.
• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity programs, policies, and tools to protect systems.
• Support RMF authorization and accreditation activities with documentation and compliance reviews.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigations.
• Conduct security evaluations, audits, and reviews; support disaster recovery planning and training compliance.
• Participate in system and network design to embed RMF controls from the start.
• Collect, analyze, and preserve digital evidence related to incidents or policy violations.
• Maintain operational security posture and monitor for resilience improvements.
• Enforce Air Force cybersecurity policies, STIGs/SRGs, and change management processes.
• Audit authorized user access documentation and ensure clearance and training requirements.
• Report incidents to the ISSM and assist corrective actions.
• Initiate and track deviations or waivers to cybersecurity requirements.
