Job summary

JRC in Washington, DC seeks an experienced mid-level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to work with our Electronic Security team and US Navy customer on the Authority to Operate (ATO) for the Electronic Security System upgrade and integration.

The ISSO will coordinate RMF activities, ensure compliance with security requirements, and collaborate across teams to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture in a fast-paced DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the development, implementation, and management of the Authority to Operate (ATO) per customer guidance.
• Ensure compliance with customer cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement RMF across systems.
• Track the ATO package through its lifecycle and update the authorization as systems evolve.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage overall cybersecurity risk posture.
• Manually track artifacts supporting the ATO lifecycle.
• Liaise with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
