Job summary

KBR is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support cybersecurity and compliance across mission IT infrastructures. This on-site role focuses on reviewing architectures, enforcing RMF/NIST controls, and guiding engineers and stakeholders in secure design and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI with Polygraph, a related bachelor’s degree, and 7 years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; 7 years of experience (additional experience may substitute for degree).
• Experience reviewing, approving, and developing security plans for IT systems.
• Experience implementing measures to protect systems against unauthorized access, modification, destruction, or disclosure.
• Knowledge of information systems, system development, network architecture, and cybersecurity principles.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience briefing technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support system owners and project managers through cybersecurity approval and compliance processes.
• Review technical architectures, deployment methodologies, and network designs.
• Interpret cybersecurity and data protection requirements for stakeholders.
• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are integrated throughout the system lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and compliance artifacts.
• Assess system risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance to engineers and non-technical partners.
• Support security reviews, audits, and accreditation activities.
