Job summary

Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School is seeking a qualified substitute instructor for our Information Services & Networking (ISSN) program to provide continuity for students while a vacancy is filled.

The position is a long‑term substitute starting August 31, 2026, reporting to the Vocational Director. Daily rates are $130 for non‑certified and $150 for certified staff; after 25 days the daily rate rises to $321.48, with normal duties aligned to established lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years full-time employment directly related to Information Support Services and Networking (ISSN).
• Associates degree (or greater) related to the Information Support Services & Networking (ISSN).
• Chapter 74 Vocational Educator Licensure in ISSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Main Office prior to 7:10 AM and then to the assigned area before school begins; secures necessary assignments, rosters with ID numbers, and sub-folder.
• Studies and follows the teacher’s lesson plans.
• Records accurate pupil attendance according to directions and contacts the Main Office with an absentee list of students.
• Maintains classroom discipline and reports concerns to the Assistant Principal's Office.
• Monitors the use of all school equipment and materials; reports safety concerns.
• Reports all accidents to the program Department Head and Vocational Director.
• Notifies the Nurse of student illnesses or accidents.
• Ensures the shop area/classroom is neat and orderly at the end of the day.
• Provides a daily summary to the Teacher of work covered, student behavior, etc.

Education
