The position is on call / as needed. Responsibilities include following lesson plans, taking attendance, reporting safety concerns, and providing a daily summary to the Teacher of record and the program department head.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with fire and safety drills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma required.
• Chapter 74 Vocational Educator Licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Main Office prior to 7:10 AM and to the assigned area before school begins.
• Studies and follows the teacher’s lesson plans.
• Records accurate pupil attendance and notifies the Main Office with absentee lists.
• Maintains discipline and reports concerns to the Assistant Principal’s Office.
• Monitors safety and reports equipment usage concerns.
• Notifies the Nurse of illnesses or accidents.
• Ensures the shop area/classroom is neat at the end of the day.
• Provides a daily summary to the Teacher of work covered and student behavior.
