Job summary

The Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) at the University of Dayton Research Institute in Dayton, OH, supports the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO) and helps secure mission-critical software systems.

Based in Dayton, you will work with ISSOs and administrators to process RMF ATOs, coordinate with cyber leads, and drive RMF packages through the approval process while ensuring compliance with DoD/NIST standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Security+ certificate (equivalent DOD 8570).
• 5+ years relevant cybersecurity experience.
• 7+ years IT position experience.
• Familiarity with eMASS.
• US Citizenship and ability to pass clearance.

Responsibilities

• Working within a team of ISSOs and system admins at multiple facilities.
• Processing RMF ATO packages for various systems.
• Coordinate with client cyber teams to meet RMF goals.
• Present status to client assessors and move ATO packages through RMF.
• Assess systems for vulnerabilities and provide corrective recommendations.
• Develop and update RMF documentation to achieve accreditation.
