Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America seeks an ISO Manager to lead EMS &OHSMS across Kansas and Nevada facilities. This role drives implementation, certification, and continuous improvement of environmental and health & safety systems at multiple sites.

The position requires deep ISO expertise, audit leadership, and coordination with EHS, operations, engineering, and HR. Travel and matrixed coordination are expected across sites in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in environmental, health & safety, compliance, or management systems within manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years directly leading or co-leading ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation, certification, sustainment, or audit readiness activities.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Working knowledge of U.S. federal EHS regulations, including OSHA general industry and environmental frameworks.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal program owner for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and certification across Kansas and Nevada manufacturing sites.
• Translate fit-gap findings into prioritized site-level action plans and coordinate consultant deliverables for system design, implementation, and certification readiness.
• Develop, maintain, and improve EMS/OHSMS documentation, including manuals, registers, controls, and audits.
• Coordinate certification body selection, Stage 1/Stage 2 audits, surveillance audits, and recertification activities.
• Establish cross-site governance such as ISO Steering Committee and monthly coordination.
• Lead internal audit planning, auditor qualification, cross-site audit participation, and corrective actions.
• Maintain understanding of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 and transition planning; support ISO 9001 integration.
• Coordinate with EHS, Operations, Engineering, Facilities, HR, Procurement, Quality, and other stakeholders to embed ISO requirements.
• Track KPIs, audit findings, training, and compliance; prepare leadership reports.
• Manage program budget inputs including fees, travel, software/tools, and internal costs.
• Evaluate digital tools or dashboards to improve monitoring and reporting.
