Job summary

Field Calibrations, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager (ISO/IEC 17025 Technical Manager) to own the quality management system and supervise the QA Specialist. The role reports to the COO and interfaces with accreditation bodies during assessments.

The successful candidate will lead CAPA, internal audits, training programs, and calibration-record integrity while driving scope expansion and continuous improvement in a high‑stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, engineering or metrology or 10+ years in ISO/IEC 17025 environment.
• 7+ years quality management in a calibration/measurement lab with ISO/IEC 17025 or similar.
• Experience as lead auditee or technical author during A2LA/ANAB assessment.
• Knowledge of ILAC-P14, GUM, and NIST calibration hierarchy.
• CAPA program leadership with measurable closure and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 QMS and act as Technical Manager per standard.
• Interface with accreditation bodies and support annual assessments.
• Drive scope expansion, nonconformance closure, and CAPA processes.
• Oversee internal audits and technician training/proficiency validation.
• Coordinate regulatory disclosures and customer audits.
