Position: Island Operations Manager

The Island Operations Manager provides support, leadership, and acts as the shoreside liaison for all matters affecting Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay Operations. This role will serve as the shoreside liaison for island operations, including location operating guidelines, service execution, and coordination of future offerings.

*This is a shoreside position, located in Celebration, FL.

What You Will Do

1. Provide shore support for all aspects of island operations.
2. Support the Manager, Island Operations, in the coordination and execution of island operations including Recreation, Maintenance, Custodial, Landscaping, Pest Control, Tram Operations, Galley, Medical, Security, Animal Programs, and Human Resources.
3. Partner with all shore lines of business to support island operations, including Disney Cruise Line Safety, Security, and Environmental Policy and Compliance, Hotel Operations, Marine Operations, Technical Operations, Entertainment and Port Adventures, Animal Programs, Purchasing and Logistics, and Human Resources.
4. Assist with the maintenance and revision of island Location Operating Guidelines and OJT materials.
5. Serve as shoreside liaison for island recreation operations.
6. Support initiatives for island recreation product enhancement or changes.
7. Partner with Walt Disney World Animal Programs for Castaway Ray’s Stingray Program.
8. Collaborate with the Manager, Island Operations, to ensure island crew services and facilities are maintained at an adequate level.
9. Support Labor Operations/Scheduling to verify effective management and crew coverage.
10. Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and all regulatory and Bahamian requirements applicable to island operations.
11. Monitor performance to achieve high levels of guest and cast satisfaction, as well as positive financial and operational results.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the Managers of Island Operations.
13. Implement general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System (SMS) for areas under your control.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. Knowledge of purchasing, logistics, process execution, food safety, sanitation practices, and facility management.
2. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with partners, vendors, contractors, and industry organizations.
3. Experience with sourcing, purchasing, invoicing, and related systems.
4. Ability to travel at least 50% of the year and work outside normal business hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Island Resort or Shipboard Operations.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent experience.
