Job summary

Aleut Corporation on Adak Island is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair machines, engines, and HVAC systems across island facilities, including the Adak Inn Hotel. This full-time, on-site role operates on a two weeks on / two weeks off rotation, with longer shifts possible.

Must have two years of related experience, Alaska driver’s license, and the ability to follow safety protocols. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs; use of tools and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for employment.
• At least two years of related experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Alaska driver’s license is required for travel to project sites.
• TWIC certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and repair support for Adak Inn Hotel and island facilities.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs on site equipment.
• Inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot engine performance and provide repair recommendations.
• Maintain vehicles as needed and document work in reports.
