Professional (+) (Fixed Term)**Position Details:****The Opportunity:**As the **Extension Coordinator** for **Agriculture & Natural Resources**, you will provide leadership and management for the Master Gardener Program in Island County. In this role, you will recruit, train, lead, coordinate, and support more than 150 WSU-trained volunteers who educate the public and answer questions about home gardening. You will help expand the program’s reach throughout Island County by engaging with community members at more than 25 locations and special events. You will establish and maintain a network of empowered, effectively led volunteer teams to support program delivery and success. Working collaboratively with the Island County Master Gardener Foundation, you will help ensure a healthy, sustainable, and well-funded operation. You will also prepare and present briefings and written reports for the University, the Foundation, elected officials, and other funding partners, highlighting program outcomes and community impacts.**Additional Information:**This is a **full time** (**100%** FTE), **temporary** position. This position is overtime **eligible.****Temporary End Date:** This is a temporary position expected to end June 30, 2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment. **Monthly Salary:** $4,050.92 - $5,829.37 | *Commensurate with experience and qualifications* In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; demonstrated work experience using these programs.* Experience recruiting and managing volunteers.* Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
