Job summary

Pyrotek, a global leader in high temperature materials, seeks an IS Support Analyst 1 for our Sanborn, NY manufacturing facility. This hands-on, customer-focused role supports employees’ hardware, software, and endpoints, serving as the first line of IT support.

You will install and configure systems, resolve helpdesk tickets, assist with maintenance, monitor performance, and document processes. Travel up to 20% within the U.S. and occasional site visits are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in PC or IT support preferred—within an Information Systems environment.
• Microsoft or IS-related certifications (CompTIA, MCSA, etc.) are a plus.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Strong Windows OS and Office Suite skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Are you passionate about technology and helping people solve IT challenges? Join our Information Systems (IS) team as an IS Support Analyst 1 — a hands-on, customer-focused role supporting our employees’ technology needs across hardware, software, and endpoints.

You’ll be the first line of support, installing and configuring new systems, resolving technical issues, and helping to keep our operations running smoothly. You will assist other IS team members by working on projects and taking on more complex troubleshooting, as well.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p in our Sanborn, NY manufacturing facility.

What You’ll Do

As an IS Support Analyst 1, you will:

• Assist with hardware and software maintenance, updates, and repairs.
• Monitor system performance and create reports as needed.
• Prepare clear documentation for processes, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Collaborate with IS team members on projects and elevate complex issues when needed.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and represent IS as a trusted partner to our internal teams.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in PC or IT support preferred — especially within an Information Systems environment.
• Microsoft or IS-related certifications (CompTIA, MCSA, etc.) are a plus.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license (and passport or ability to obtain one).

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with basic networking/Wi-Fi, PC hardware, and software support.
• Strong documentation, diagnostic, and organizational skills.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

What to Expect

• Primarily office-based work with occasional visits to manufacturing sites.
• Must be able to sit, lift up to 25 lbs, and wear appropriate PPE when required.
• Travel by car and air up to 20%, mostly within the U.S.

The minimum and maximum hourly range for this full-time position is $27.00 - $33.00 + benefits.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including but not limited tojob-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
