Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO is seeking a desktop and application support specialist to provide on-site IT assistance across our sites. You will troubleshoot Level 2 issues, serve as a technical resource for site projects, and support staff with desktop applications.

This is a full-time, daytime, on-site role Monday through Friday. Experience may be substituted by college as needed; we value a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, teamwork, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of desktop/app support experience.
• On-site, Monday–Friday work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and application support at assigned sites.
• Troubleshoot Level 2 issues from Client Support Center.
• Mentor and coordinate with junior analysts/technicians as needed.
• Represent IS operations on project teams as assigned.

Job Description The Opportunity

Desktop and application support to the respective sites. Responsibility for facility operations in the absence of the Site Manager. Assists the Site Manager as a technical resource in the IS operations of one or multiple sites as assigned. Serves as a technical leader on simple to medium projects as assigned. Assists with mentoring new analysts and technicians. Assists with coordinating staff schedules. Represents the Site Manager or other more senior staff on project teams as assigned. Performs troubleshooting on all Level 2 problem calls received from the Client Support Center at assigned sites. Client focused position to support voice and data system installations upgrades and problem resolutions. Maintains sufficient inventories of computer room supplies and spare hardware for computer operations. Maintains hard drive images for PC equipment assigned to the site. Provides advice and assistance to end users on the effective utilization of desktop applications. Experience in lieu of college may be substituted. This position is on site, M-F. We are looking for someone that is excited about working with people and has a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, willingness to work, flexibility, ability to work without any guidance, eager to learn, not afraid to ask questions, can be on your feet all day, and is a team player.
