Job summary

Saint Luke's North Hospital in Kansas City seeks a data analyst to maintain complex database systems, perform data abstraction, analysis, and presentation to support clinical care and patient safety.

You will define and execute IT projects enabling reporting capabilities, transform data into actionable insights, and identify opportunities for continuous process improvements within the hospital operations. This is a hybrid role based in the KC area.

Qualifications

  • Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year.
  • Certified Professional-Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and abstracts data from complex database systems for clinical service lines.
  • Sorts, displays and communicates data to support clinical and process data analysis and presentation.
  • Defines, plans and executes IT projects that support clinical and operations functions of Saint Luke's North Hospital.

Job description

  • Position is responsible for the maintenance of complex database systems data abstraction for particular service lines data analysis and presentation and coordination of a variety of performance improvement methodology data.
  • This individual will sort display and communicate data in support of clinical and process data query data analysis and data presentation.
  • Included in the scope of job responsibilities is the defining planning and execution of a broad range of IT projects which support the clinical and operations functions of the medical center.
  • This person would assist in organizing and presenting a full spectrum of reporting capabilities which will be the basis for transforming data into action with the goal of measuring and improving clinical care and patient safety.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and services on an ongoing basis.

This position is hybrid and you must reside in the KC area, reporting to Saint Luke's North.

Preferred
  • Previous Process Improvement or Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Certified Professional in Patient Safety
