Job summary

The Comptroller of the Treasury offers a 10-week Information Systems Audit Intern program for Summer 2027 (June 1–August 6) in Nashville, TN. Interns gain hands-on experience in audit operations, with IS audit responsibilities and training, plus professional development activities.

We seek rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students in accounting or information systems who have completed at least 6 hours of relevant coursework.

Qualifications

• Rising juniors, seniors, or graduate accounting and information systems students are sought.
• Candidates should have completed at least 6 hours of accounting, computer information systems, computer science, information security, data analytics, or business-related coursework.
• Successful interns are adaptable, able to think critically, work well individually and in teams, and are willing to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Learn to examine and review: internal controls, records, reports, information systems, and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist in evaluating the adequacy of internal controls, data integrity for application systems, and efficiency of operations.
