Job summary

Irvine Company Apartment Communities is seeking Maintenance and Janitorial staff in Irvine, CA to perform general maintenance including plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs while upholding safety and customer service standards.

The role includes detailed cleaning, unit turns, inventory management, and coordination with on-site teams and vendors to preserve property quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma from an accredited institution
• One year prior janitorial/general maintenance experience
• Superior customer service skills and a desire to help people
• Ability to handle resident concerns or complaints
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use MS Office and Google Apps
• Understand, apply and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check (clean driving record)

Responsibilities

• Promotes positive, proactive customer interactions to ensure high Irvine Company experience.
• Performs service requests, unit turns and preventative maintenance work throughout the community.
• Ensures common areas and grounds are maintained according to standards; conducts inspections and mitigates hazards.
• Performs work using safe practices; completes safety training.
• Responsible for inventory of parts and appliances; general maintenance and orderliness of facilities.
• Completes property preventative maintenance on required systems and equipment.
• Performs porter functions as necessary.
• Supports building maintenance and landscape efforts; detailed cleaning and apartment turns as needed.
• Delivers packages, notes, and flyers to occupied apartments.
