Job summary

VCC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial construction projects from bid through completion. The role emphasizes ownership, leadership, and high standards in coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 3+ years of project management experience with commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviews pricing, bids and confirms accuracy of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Prepares bids for distribution to market, including drawings, specifications, test reports and exhibits.
• Qualify subcontractors prior to award.
• Reviews bids from subcontractors for conformity to contract requirements and recommends acceptable bids.
• Negotiates contract scope and value with bidder.
• Recommends awards and administers subcontracts.
• Processes subcontractor change orders and amendments to contracts.
• Advises scheduling of contractual rights and obligations and prepares estimates data.
• Reviews correspondence concerning subcontractors and responds as necessary.
• Establishes and maintains contact with subcontractors for smooth contract awarding.
• Acts as liaison between company, subcontractors, clients and owners.
• Liaises with accounting on subcontractor payments.
• Conducts and leads project meetings.
• Participates actively in project scheduling.
