Job summary

YMCA in Indianapolis is seeking an Activity Leader I to assist with program delivery under the Program Director and to foster the social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth of participants. The role emphasizes effective communication, supervision, and maintaining records.

The candidate should be at least 18 with a high school diploma, have a passion for teens, and be prepared to obtain CPR/First Aid and other required trainings within 60–90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Passionate about working with teens.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program implementation under the Program Director.
• Foster social, physical, spiritual and mental growth of participants.
• Provide staff supervision and leadership in the absence of the Director.
• Maintain program documentation and records.
• Ensure required certifications (Heartsaver CPR, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation) are current or obtained within 60–90 days.
