Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking an Activity Leader I at Irsay YMCA in Indianapolis to assist with programming, foster growth in youth, and support staff under the Program Director. The role emphasizes caring, honesty, responsibility and positive participation from teens and younger participants.

The candidate will help supervise staff, provide leadership in the Director's absence, and maintain program records and safety protocols, including Heartsaver CPR/First Aid when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth is preferred.
• A minimum of 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent are required.
• Passionate about working with teens with the ability to interact and communicate effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the director in the implementation of programming and foster growth in social, physical, spiritual and mental development.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Director and supervise staff and program participants.
• Demonstrate the core values of caring, honesty, responsibility in all activities.
