Job summary

Mortenson Bros. Farms, Inc. in central Wisconsin seeks an enthusiastic Irrigation Operator/Technician to run, service, and troubleshoot center-pivot irrigation systems for potato and vegetable crops.

You will join a year-round role with ongoing maintenance and seasonal tasks, applying water and fertilizer and supporting agricultural practices. The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and optional irrigation or electrical experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or agricultural irrigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair center-pivot irrigation systems.
• Apply water and fertilizer to crops as needed.

• Assist with other agricultural practices for potato and vegetable production.

Irrigation Operator/Technician

Position Description

The focus of this position would be the operation, maintenance, and repair of our center-pivot irrigation systems. This would include, but not be limited to, the application of water and fertilizer, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair, general maintenance, and assisting with various other agricultural practices associated with potato and other vegetable production as the season demands.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate would have a valid driver’s license, good work ethic, and willingness to learn. Electrical and/or agricultural irrigation experience preferred.
