Position Summary: The Turf and Irrigation Supervisor is a highly skilled and experienced professional responsible for overseeing the maintenance, health, appearance, and irrigation efficiency of all turf and landscaped areas. This leadership role combines advanced turf management expertise with hands‑on irrigation system diagnostics, repair, installation, and crew supervision. The Supervisor ensures all grounds are maintained to the highest standards of safety, appearance, sustainability, and functionality while leading crews and coordinating daily operations.

This position requires strong leadership, technical troubleshooting abilities, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality service. The ideal candidate is experienced in turf care, irrigation systems, landscape operations, and crew management, and thrives in a fast‑paced outdoor environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of turf, landscaped areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Implement turf care programs including fertilization, aeration, overseeding, weed control, and pest management.
• Monitor turf and plant health and recommend improvements when needed.
• Ensure all grounds are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner.
• Assist with seasonal duties such as snow removal and storm cleanup.
• Manage irrigation system startup, shutdown, inspections, and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, valves, sprinkler heads, wiring, controllers, and drip systems.
• Program and adjust irrigation controllers for water efficiency and seasonal changes.
• Perform irrigation system checks and document repairs and maintenance completed.
• Operate irrigation systems using central control and diagnostic tools.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Train staff on proper irrigation, turf care, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Promote strong communication, accountability, professionalism, and safety standards.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and vendor services as needed.
• Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist with budgeting and scheduling of projects and daily operations.
• Communicate professionally with management, vendors, property managers, and clients.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of turf and irrigation experience required.
• Experience supervising crews preferred.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, turf care, and landscaping practices.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Irrigation certification or pesticide applicator license preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and operating equipment.
