Job summary

MWH Constructors in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Ironworker/Rebar Worker to join our construction team on a major water treatment project. The ideal candidate will install and fabricate rebar to ensure concrete structures are properly reinforced according to blueprints.

You will handle tying and fastening rebar, place blocks to hold rebar off decks, bend rods, cut wire mesh, and assist other trades as needed. Safety and teamwork are essential in this hands-on role on site.

Qualifications

• Certification in rebar installation or related field is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for reinforcement.
• Capable of handling heavy materials and tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Connect and place rebar to form reinforcement per blueprints.
• Secure steel bars, rods, cables or mesh using fasteners and hand tools.
• Place blocks under rebar to hold it off the deck.
• Bend steel rods with hand tools and rod bending machines.
• Cut and fit wire mesh or fabric and position it in concrete.

MWH Constructors a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities is currently seeking a skilled and experienced IronworkerRebar Worker to join our construction team The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and rebar installation and fabrication Ensuring that all concrete structures are reinforced effectively This individual plays a crucial role in the construction process at our Austin TX project

Essential Functions

The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for this positionSpace and fasten together rods in forms according to blueprints using wire and pliersposition and secure steel bars rods cables or mesh in concrete forms using fasteners and hand toolsPlace blocks under rebar to hold the bards off the deckBend steel rods with hand tools and rod bending machinesCut and fit wire mesh or fabric using hooked rods and position fabric or mesh in concrete to reinforce concreteCut rods to required lengths using metal shears hacksaws or bar cuttersAssist other craft workers as needed

Basic Qualifications
