Job summary

MWH Constructors in Austin, TX is seeking an Ironworker/Rebar Worker to join our construction team. You will apply rebar installation and fabrication skills to reinforce concrete structures on our Austin project.

You will read blueprints, position and secure steel bars, cut and fit wire mesh, and work with hand and power tools. The role requires physical endurance and ability to work in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Certification in rebar installation or related field (preferred).
• Ability to push/pull, lift up to 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Good hand/eye coordination and safety communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Space and fasten rods in forms according to blueprints.
• Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms.
• Cut rods to required lengths and fit wire mesh to reinforce concrete.
• Operate hand and power tools as needed.
• Work at heights on steel/wood frameworks and scaffolds.
