Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking an Ironworker Leadman to direct and supervise a crew in planning, layout, installation and alignment in accordance with plans, specifications and codes. Lead and motivate journeymen to complete work safely, productively and accurately.

Responsibilities include identifying hazards, conducting toolbox meetings, enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring crew compliance with safety rules and project requirements. Travel up to 90% to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• 4 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• On-site toolbox meetings participation and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action.
• Inspect and ensure crew compliance with plans and specs.
• Coordinate journeyman and crafts under supervision to ensure safe, productive work.
• Ensure crew members are qualified and have appropriate certifications.
