Duties:

  • Perform tasks such as erection of steel skeletons of buildings, rigging, bolting, welding, window wall and curtain wall exterior steel erection, steel and cable reinforcing in concrete construction, rigging of heavy machinery and equipment, and general welding.
  • Act as a fire watch or confined space attendant when required.
  • Work at great heights in strenuous, dangerous conditions, often in adverse weather.
  • Use tools such as wrenches, hammers, bull pins, wire cutters, tool belts, safety harnesses, and lanyards.

Essential Functions:

  • Pass a substance abuse test (IMPACT or company administered).
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Have reliable transportation to project sites.
  • Possess and maintain necessary tools and equipment.
  • Complete all required training and certifications (OSHA, American Institute of Steel Construction, etc.).
  • Demonstrate high physical stamina and strength, including climbing, bending, lifting up to 100 lbs, and working at heights.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and requirements.
