Job summary

The ASR Group is seeking an Iron Worker (Welder/Fabricator) to assemble, install, maintain and repair complex lay-outs in the refinery, welding iron, steel and aluminum.

The role requires 3-4 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read blueprints. Starting hourly rate is $36.38 with paid sick time and vacation after 90 days; weekend/overtime shifts may be required.

This full-time on-site role offers competitive pay and benefits, with safety training provided.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 3–4 years of related experience in welding or fabrication.
  • Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out major installations from blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Weld iron, aluminum, and steel with electric or gas welding equipment.
  • Instruct lower-rated iron workers as required.
  • Erect and remove hand rails, cat walks, building supports, tank supports, drives steel foundations, bends copper pipe, etc., using tools.
  • Perform fabrication, erection, and removal of ducts, gutter pipes, etc.; cuts, bends, brazes copper pipe; drives and bucks rivets.
  • Carry out supervisor orders.
