Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking an experienced Iron & Mineral Processing Laboratory Manager to lead and coordinate laboratory operations supporting iron recovery, mineral processing, metallurgy, and analytical activities in Desert Center, CA.

The role may oversee multiple laboratories and testing functions to ensure safe, accurate, and timely results. Responsibilities include establishing SOPs, QA/QC programs, calibration, reporting, and coordinating with operations to align testing with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related science or engineering field.
• Five+ years of progressive laboratory/metallurgical/mineral-processing experience.
• Experience supervising laboratory personnel, workflow, QA/QC, or technical operations.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• MSHA Part 48 certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for iron, metallurgical, mineral-processing, and analytical lab functions.
• Coordinate priorities, staffing, workflow, testing schedules, turnaround times, and resources.
• Supervise technicians and coordinate with metallurgists, engineers, and operations personnel.
• Develop scalable lab systems, SOPs, QA/QC programs, and reporting practices.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of samples and reagents.
• Maintain lab safety, calibration, and QA/QC documentation.
